18th week of Pregnancy

This Friday is Good Friday, and we met up with the Insurance agent for our newborn-to-be.
Her mother happened to live just above our unit. Another 2 weeks we'd be doing our Scan to check if our precious is healthy and normal. I can't wait to know if I'm right. I've motherly instincts that this is going to be a boy.

At the same time, I'm going to prepare for a lesson observation by the Subject Head and I'm feeling abit short of time. I've to prepare for my appraisal soooon, before it is said to be due. For the first time in many years, I'm able to submit my weekly lesson plans in time, and for a couple of times, I was the first, if not among the first few to submit.

Yeah!

Uncertainty and Insecurity

Many unanswered questions and uncertainty arise inside my little brain.
Will I be able to undergo successful natural birth?
Will Darling really going to faint inside the delivery room? Or is Darling really going to wait outside?

Is our little precious baby really safe and happy inside me? How come I don't really feel it, most of the time? I only worry if it's alright when I feel the little discomfort at the tummy.
What is best education for our newborn-to-be at this moment? Do I have to play soft soothing music or chants of the sutra or mantra? :)

What is the world going to be like with the arrival of our newborn?
How come I feel myself becoming more forgiving and loving or motherly towards the kids at work?

17th week of Pregnancy

I've planned to miss the consultation at the gynae this time, so can save abit of cash. I wonder what my gynae would say the next time I visit him with Darling. Would doc reprimand me for not seeing him? :P

I've been eating quite alot of balanced diet these days. For instance, for a normal day, wholegrain or almond or black sesame drink or milk powder formula for breastfeeding & pregnant moms for breakfast, and for lunch I'd have fried mee, mashed potato or coleslow or sweet corn kernels or sushi bao, dessert and papaya.

This is the first time I received $0 PB and I'm feeling really really down...I've been denied of the incentives for the hard work I've put in, and fighting and handling the many challenges for the entire year of 2009. ;(

16th week of Pregnancy

The belly is now swollen not just big. It can't be 'hidden' by loose clothing anymore. I should need more such clothing very soon, as the pants feel very tight at the waist. I had to loosen abit so that I won't feel squeezed at the tummy.

I've managed to contact the confinement lady and will be paying deposit of $200 sooooon, thanks to a helpful colleague. Aunt has bought some baby stuff from Kiddy Palace. ;) Aunt said she'd be buying a stroller as a gift when we go for our shopping in June (26-28th week of pregnancy).

15th week of Pregnancy

Darling had made plans for our 3rd honeymoon to Taiwan, and this trip was different from those in the past. Besides re-visiting the Tarogo and the Aquarium, we went to places we never would have been to, for instance, visited the coffee & fruits plantation in Tai Ma Li, Chi Ben and stayed over in a tent, and went for a spa with sea water full of minerals. In fact, there were alot of rust on the rocks, and our fingers and toes became abit rusty when came in contact with the rocks.

We had a gooooood massage using the cow's horn, and really had a great time meeting with some friends there. We went for mushroom hotpot & spaghetti late lunch around 3 plus in the afternoon, followed by a tour to a massage parlour.

We had great fun touring the night bazaar Rui Fung in Kao Shiung, and we had to surrender due to the large crowd there. We only managed to try abit of cuisines and were feeling very full. We went to another night bazaar Liu Ho to enjoy some more cuisines and fun. Muuaaak!

On the left is the tastiest popiah I've ever tried (it's vegetarian, and huge) and Darling ordered a plate of pasta (his favourite), and it's equally tasty.

Darling was right, we had to enjoy this tour as I'd have to wait for a couple of years before we'd go for a tour again. :(
