Bodily changes

This is the day I've been looking forward to since the day I set my eyes on darling, but yet when I look at my 'swollen tummy' (no matter how I suck in my tummy, it's still visible), I can't help but feel sad at the thought that I'd be 'labelled' big tummy aunt (da du po). Silly but I just can't help but hope that the tummy will grow beautifully.

I tried to place a pillow cushion on my laps (hugged it when I walked around the house at Little Aunt's house) while seated on the sofa during the festive season of Lunar New Year. This is just the 12th week of pregnancy. Hee.

12th week of Pregnancy

I'm visiting my gynae with darling for check-up next week, and regardless of the results of the consultation, I know, that our baby will be a healthy, happy little boy. I know it'll be well loved by everyone, whether it's a boy or girl.

We'd meet the confinement lady in-charge to confirm the candidate of our choice. I've sourced someone who can do vegetarian cooking. The package is S$2000. The gynae package is S$688 from 16th week and S$588 from 20th week of pregnancy. The delivery fees S$3000. The first consultation is S$154.08. There'll be more to come. Geek.

11th week of Pregnancy

My appetite improved and I finally can eat my usual amount of food. I was so happy. It was timely as I really enjoyed the reunion dinner prepared by my younger brother, the Chef. I merely helped with minimal washing and setting the table.

I'm really looking forward to giving angbaos and visit our parents. We have our share of receiving angbaos too. Hehe.

8th week of Pregnancy

I was coughing badly and decided to visit our GP and at the same time, get a pregnancy test. The results were positive. I continued to cough for couple of weeks, while taking TCM medicine. My appetite was not good, and didn't eat much at meal times.

I didn't like to enter the kitchen and didn't like the smell of the cooking, especially the aftermath. I napped during the weekends, and I constantly reminded myself not to carry heavy bags and not to walk too fast.

I stopped taking small sips of my darling's coffee, and only think of good and positive things.

4th week of Pregnancy

This is the first overseas trip after our custom marriage. We visited Genting Highlands, watched 2 movies, ate a gigantic baked sweet potato, had vegetarian western food, visited an organic fruit and vegetables farm, visited Sunway Lagoon, and many more ...

One memorable moment is when we entered a local snacks shop and darling saw me trying all the different snacks. Every time when he recall that moment, he'd tease me that it must be the little baby in my tummy, that I was craving for the snacks.

At this time, we weren't aware of the pregnancy yet.
