TK first outing to Sentosa at 7m 3wk 1day old

There'll be a mini Quiz at the end
And the first to ans all correctly will get a chance to lunch with TK.

Dardy brought all of us to Sentosa for gai gai.

While waiting for Grandmum, TK napped and we shopped at Giant.
Granpa bought some Thai Honey mangoes
and after discount is around a dollar each ($5.98).

 We wanted to have pasta but saw there's Banquet and Kopitiam and
since Grandmum brought the discount card for the latter,
we had lunch there and spent $17.80 after discount (4 pax).

 TK had puree (organic sweet bb vegetables) for the first time at noon.

We took a stroll outside and saw Sentosa and the cable car.

now with the Resorts World and hotels built

Grandpa is afraid it's too sunny for TK.

Dardy led us to the National Geographic shop
as TK, Grandpa and Grandmum haven't been there before.

We looked around and
Marmy showed Grandmum around, looking at some Tees.

Marmy placed Dardy's green water bottle besides the Tees and

left when suddenly a baby's cries were heard.

Dardy had been pacifying TK in his stroller
but TK is probably feeling warm and uncomfortable.

Before we advanced to enter the gates to board the Sentosa Express,
Dardy realised the water bottle missing.

Dardy helped to trace back the route where we came from
and very quickly,

we found it!

 We took the Sentosa Express for the first time (TK lost one sock) and alighted at Beach Station.

There's Indoor Skydiving too.

Next we went to Imbiah Station (4 stations in all) and took photos at the Merlion.

We met a family from Romania (first visit to Singapore) and they asked to borrow TK.

They wanted to pose and take photos with TK.

TK held the woman's ear and Marmy worried TK would pull and wanted to remove TK's hand

but the woman stopped Marmy, saying TK's happy.

They had 4 girls and they loved TK (the woman carried TK and planted lots of kisses on TK)

 walked to the next Station where the Casino is and we looked around.

Grandpa carried TK to an Restaurant and the waitress chatted TK,

and even helped to clean TK's mucus.

The weather is hot and we quickly moved on.
TK is sleepy and snuggled into Grandmum's armp**.

Suddenly TK opened his mouth
and laughed and

 Marmy noticed his first tooth.

We took the Sentosa Express to the first station -- Sentosa Station

(Dardy said should be named VivoCity Station instead)

We snacked at Food Republic at the entrance to the Sentosa Express

and spent $7.20 on fried dough and soya drinks.

 TK had his milk too and finished 4.75oz.

Grandpa wanted to shop at Daiso and we spent $26 in all.

We bought 3 pairs of slippers, 2 seat cushions, 3 packs of coffee filter, 3 face towels, 1 pack of bamboo charcoal etc.

By then, it was almost 5pm.

After we entered the HarbourFront MRT, we almost lost sight of TK and his Grandpa.

We had an enjoyable and spent a total of $56.98.
As you can see, it was indeed

a memorable trip.

- how time flies! It is really a blessing that we've survived more than 360 days after AVM
- disappointed that i was not 'invited' to be inside the group photo

- helpful colleague packed one of the remaining vegetarian boxes to me as dinner
- TK is turning 7m soon and it's time for pneumo jab

30th week of motherhood

28mar - 3apr

- took my 1st MC this year and there's only 'Internal coverage' and very little is being done
- am really happy for colleagues who are promoted (around 10% of the cohort and 20% of my dept)
- guess I'd have to wait for abit more, work abit more harder, sleep abit more less (am sleeping <5h daily) before it's my turn to be congratulated

- gg for the exhibition and seminar this Friday after work at Suntec City, Gallery East

21mar - 27mar

- returned to work and contacted the stake-holders again
- there's flu bug around and suddenly people around us start to fall sick

28th week of motherhood

14mar - 20mar

- went to baby fair at Expo w Mum and found out that it's starting on Friday (me blur blur tot 16mar is Fri)
- went again to the fair w Dardy and mum and bought a Babysafe mattress for TK to lie on the floor
- all the Philips Avent products on offer and helped to buy milk bottle for neighbour's bb
- Mum bought 2 boxes of fruit tarts..one each for Dad and me..SP$10 each box

- Dad helped to record down TK's feeding, nap and play time while Mum looked after the rest
- I had the time to sit down to plan/calculate for TK's feed and weaning foods
- hardly had time to finish the bb massage guide books hubby borrowed from NLB
- glanced through the simple steps to massage bb and tried on TK and he simply loved it!

- really pleasantly surprised when hubby went out to return NLB books and came home w a box of cake
- TK fell asleep and both hubby and I cut the cake and finished 1/3 of it
- Pa came over to visit but couldn't see TK as he's still having the flu bug
- Pa gave me birthday ang pow for the first time

27th week of motherhood

7mar - 13mar

- TK turns 6m and Marmy still doesn't see the need to shave TK bald
- TK is gg to stay at Granddad's place w Marmy during the school holidays
- after 5 weeks of returning to work, Marmy finally took child MC but was told to take child care leave (CCL) to be more accurate
- had been working hard to chase all the overdue assignments and making contacts w the stake-holders since last week
- gg to baby fair next week for the first time..for all of us

28feb - 6mar

- started Dharma class and it's conducted by Ven Chuan Ren who's well-trained in meditation
- TK stayed at Granddad's place for the weekend so we can get some rest (Dardy does the housework)
- time flies too fast and TK turns 6m next week

21feb - 27feb

- by the time i reached home, hubby already fetched TK and what's more, i've to whip up dinner for us before they're home
- after 3 weeks, i'm glad i've opted for PT since i used to reached home after hubby had made dinner (ie 2h earlier than before)
- when Dharma class commence next week, Ma will be coming to bbsit TK

232 days' old, you returned to infant care after fallen sick again since 17th (runny nose, cough w phlegm);
233 days' old, you still have abit cough & runny nose; you played w balls at infant before breakfast; pooed at 640a after finishing 5.1oz of milk; napped for 26min just before reaching infant care;
234 days' old, you had 3 C+milk + porridge in the day; napped for 3.25h in all;
235 days' old, you are gg to Sentosa for the first time as infant care is closed; you have 1st tooth spotted;
236 days' old, you are gg to Vesak Carnival at Ngee Ann City w Dardy & Marmy for the first time; pooed at 830am after feeding 2oz; went to stay at Granddad's and you loved your new walker;
237 days' old, you pooed at 640a; had 26.5oz in all; napped for 4.75h in all;
238 days' old, you went home after Grandmum put you to nap for a while; pooed 2x; you babbled 'da-da-da-da' for the first time;

- went to stay at mum's place for the weekend and watched HK drama on MIO TV
- took MC after losing my voice since last Thur (must be the result of shouting and scoldings)
- taking leave as the infant care will be closed this Fri

- Ma came over at 6a to take TK to infant care w us for the first day
- tr briefed me on the daily routine upon reaching infant care (where to place TK's belongings, what to place in cubi-hole for daily use; when to bring bedding home for wash etc)
- we enrol TK 2 weeks before I return to work and that's a wise choice..guess what? Marmy forgot to bring TK's formula milk powder and yes..Marmy ran all the way home to get it
- poor TK cried hard even thou Ma carried him and tried hard to pacify him

33rd week of motherhood

18apr - 24apr

- 1st time I rushed to fetch TK & looked after myself and TK after work while Dardy OT
- had to juggle unpacking TK's belongings and soiled clothes, feeding TK, preparing simple dinner for myself, and SMSing some of the stake-holders etc
- TK likes to be carried at this time of the day (maybe he missed us the whole day, or maybe he's hungry but is contented when carried)
- I took my shower only when Dardy came back at 10p, but I was really feeling bagus though tired is an understatement, I must say I slept really soundly for the first few hours (eg. I couldn't get up if TK is crying at 11plus or 1plus in the morning)
- went groceries shopping w Pa and spent over S$34 after early lunch S$6.90
- bought some veg buns, tissue, carrots, pasta, noodles, bread etc
- tissue 2-ply refill pack 4x 200's sold at S$5.95 for 2 (UP$7.10)
- total savings (BYOB, 2% elderly discounts, HB discount and offer) is S$7.10
- in other words, we lunched for free 免费午餐(and still get linkpoints and S$0.20 left)

- took TK to see doc for runny nose and coughing w phlegm (for several days already)
- had lunch w Dardy and went to work (had a lesson to view at 130p)
- almost dozed off to sleep and fell off the sleep (and with mouth wide open faced upwards -- so unsightly)

- 1st Anniversary of my AVM incident (coincides with Earth Day)
- received the rejection letter of appeal of my hospitalisation insurance in Feb

- gg to spend Good Friday at Baby Expo with TK and Dardy and maybe Grandmum
- had been a peaceful year with min emo outburst (the second latest was 32 days ago) and felt uncomfortable with much more painful headache, feeling nauseous, chest tightness (couldn't take deep breath)好吓人！我心想：难道命中注定我的寿命如此短暂？
- went to see doc 10 days later (the latest was 23 days ago still not feeling well) and was 'scolded' by the doc on relief who insisted I had to go to A&E

- all the while I was reminded to constantly hydrate esp when I'm currently on medication

225 days' old, you are baa-baa-baa so much these days;
226 days' old, you poo at 745a and had 0.33oz jing feng san solution followed by 0.75oz of milk as you're coughing and still having runny nose; your diapers lasted for more than 13h at nite;
227 days' old, you went to see doc and suspected of having bronchitis;
228 days' old, you are gg to the Baby Expo today (Good Fri) since the BabyCare Festival in Mar; it's one year since Marmy suffered AVM rupture;

TK second foods

For infants 6 - 9 months, diet is thicker in consistency than First Foods

Grains	Vegetables	Meats	Fruits	Dairy
Multi-Grain Cereals. Pasta or Rice in combination with a Vegetable.	Two or more vegetables such as Spinach and Potatoes.	Combinations of a vegetable and meat.	Fruit in combination with yogurt or cereal.	Yogurt in combination with fruit. Cheese in combination with grains or legumes.

At 7m, TK is eating 2 tsp porridge w green vegetables, cabbage, broccoli, pumpkin, carrots, potatoes etc.

TK is taking vegetarian diet and so far, he accepted all foods given with open hands and mouth. Aaarmm!

TK will try the dairy food maybe in 2months' time at 9m with Dardy & Marmy. We'd be digging into our favourite blueberry yogurt.

32nd week Dearest Bb TK

12apr - 18apr'11

218 days' old, you are gg for pneumo 2nd jab in 8weeks' time; you were feeling so warm these few nights that you woke up countless times; you went gai gai w Dardy and 'played truant' (didn't go to infant) & sat up in the stroller all the way home;
219 days' old, you had 4.75oz at 430a and changed gauze napkin; poo at 745a and changed gauze napkin again; Marmy fed you spelt Porridge w 1 scp formula milk for the first time (Grandmum tried the other time according to the feeding instructions and found it too thin)
220 days' old, you went to bed after Dardy fed you 2.5oz at 1050p till the next morning feed 3oz at 810a (9.25h later);
221 days' old, you are babysat by Grandma while Dardy and Marmy went for meditation class;
222 days' old, you are gg to Granddad's hs next week as Grandmum and Uncle R are gg for Tombsweeping as last week 5 April is Qing Ming Festival; you went to the wet market again and were mesmerised by the many things and people you saw till you cried and fell asleep shortly after Marmy pushed you in the stroller while Dardy finished his drink;
223 days' old, you are gg to baby fair at Expo Hall 6A in 5 days' time;
224 days' old, you are gg home from infant care w Marmy as Dardy is working OT on Mondays starting today;

TK sleep routine

At 6m TK likes to sleep lying on his tummy, occasionally tossing and adjusting..

he'd take his milk at ard 720p till 8plus
sometimes earlier
if TK is hungry since last fed at 3p
and he will feed again at 630p

before falling asleep on his mattress or in his own cot

The room temperature should not be too high or else he'd have difficulty sleeping.

If need, an electric fan should be placed not too near,

so the room is ventilated.

TK will sleep through the night most of the time

TK will wake up at 11plus 12midnight for the next feed,

sometimes he'd only wake up for feed at 4plus5 in the morning
(sleeping more than 7h).

On 10 Apr 2011 at 1a TK cried for milk so Dardy
(just went to bed) fed aft las feed at 610p the day before (slept at 635p for more than 6h).

It's not advisable to carry him to sleep.
I read that if
if you always feed or rock your baby to sleep, he'll never have a chance to learn how to soothe himself to sleep. 
TK likes to play with his 'towel toy'. 

TK was put to sleep in his own cot at 4m+

208 days' old, you slept better with less coughing; Dardy & Marmy attended a public talk by Di Jiao Fa Shi and met many Di Zhang Bao Bao..
209 days' old, you napped 1h in total in the day and was very tired when you struggled to feed 5.75oz of milk in 3 instalments;

TK power grib

Ouch! Ooo..uch! Let go..let go darling TK..

Darling Tk had been grabbing us by the arm..(before he turned 5m..) and it's especially painful when the nails dig into the flesh..near the armpit..(even though the nails are 'newly' trimmed)

This morning, TK squeezed my finger (gave him a finger so he won't grab my arm) constantly while he's feeding milk..as if he's donating blood, where the nurse asked him to squeeze a rubber ball..

so funny

TK's grib is so strong he can pump a balloon using the rubber pump by squeezing..

TK is still coughing..but he's stopped having runny nose..

and he slept for 5h in the night without waking..or rather waking us up..

TK poo is hard this morning..think he'll poo again later in the afternoon..

TK follow-on formula and where to get

TK was taking Wyeth S26 stage 1 at birth till 6m.
His Uncle R bought the 700g refill box for RM50, and a tin of 900g costs more than RM70.

Now at 6m+, TK has been using EnfaProA+ stage 2.

His Uncle R bought the 650g refill box for RM58.80, while a tin of 1.8kg costs S$76.80 in local supermarket.
