How to handle emergency

What would you do if your family member suddenly feel chest pain? Whole body cold sweat, and vomitted, probably have diarrhoea?
Should you call your spouse, sibling, relative or neighbour? Or should you call for a taxi to seek medical assistance? Or should you call 995 for an ambulance? Or should you just wait and see?

The answer is very simple: Stay calm and alert.
Step 1: Call 995 for an ambulance. State clearly
1. your location (address),
2. the age and the sex of the patient,
3. the symptoms such as the above-mentioned (feel chest pain, whole body cold sweat, and vomitted, diarrhoea), and suspect cardiac arrest (heart attack)
4. your contact no. or mobile no.

Step 2: Call for your spouse/sibling/relative for assistance.

Step 3:
Get ready the patient's
1. NRIC if have
2. a pair of slippers
3. dentures if have
4. vomit bags or small plastic bags

Step 4: Be ready to follow the ambulance to the hospital (only 1 person allowed). Eg. Get ready your handbag, and mobile.

Step 5: Continue to check if the patient is having any other discomfort. Find out if he/she has any drug allergy and the type of medication he/she is taking if any. Stay positive.
